Welcome Dr. Dan Burchill

We are thrilled to announce the addition of our new veterinarian, Dr. Dan Burchill, who brings his special interest in orthopedic and soft tissue procedures along with his 16 years of experience in a private veterinary practice. Orthopedic procedures will use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.

With certification to perform Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) and a special interest in ultrasounds and other minimally invasive surgical techniques of joints, Dr. Dan’s orthopedic talents will be an invaluable addition. He will be taking referral surgeries at GVAH, particularly those that involve soft tissue and other orthopedic procedures such as repairs or replacements in many different dog breeds, such as Chihuahuas, Newfoundlands, and Great Danes. Dr. Burchill, Dr. Meulebroeck, and the rest of the GVAH staff are incredibly excited to expand orthopedics at GVAH.

Dr. Burchill earned his doctoral degree from Iowa State University in 1994 and is licensed to practice veterinary medicine in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Montana. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association as well as the North Dakota Veterinary Medical Association. He is also the proud pet parent to Finnegan, a miniature Goldendoodle, and Stryker, a German Shorthaired Pointer.
