Dr. Pauline Schroeder Amoth
We are thrilled to welcome our newest veterinarian, Dr. Pauline Schroeder Amoth, to the GVAH team! Dr. Pauline relocated here from Wisconsin with her beloved cat, Little Grey (aka Hobo), and her 3 horses; Hawk, a Leopard Appaloosa, and Josie & Diamond, both Percherons.
A graduate of the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Wisconsin in 2001, Dr. Pauline brings a wealth of clinic experience, having worked for the past 18 years as a veterinarian. Her extensive knowledge, attention to detail, and practical approach to animal care make her the perfect addition to GVAH. When not in the office, Dr. Pauline enjoys ice fishing with her husband and riding her horses.
Dr. Jessica Olson
Help us welcome Dr. Jessie back to the office after the birth of her daughter, Waylyn Averi in August!
Dr. Jessica Olson has been with GVAH since 2018 and has been a great asset to our team. She earned her doctoral degree from Colorado State University. Prior to obtaining her doctorate, she received a bachelor’s degree in animal science from North Dakota State University as an undergrad. Dr. Jessie also gained industry experience as an associate veterinarian at the Devils Lake Animal Clinic.
Outside of the office, Dr. Jessie and her husband, Mitch, are devoted parents to daughter, Waylyn and son, Lincoln as well as proud owners of two dogs, Bella & Bailey, two horses, Gringo & Luke and one mini mule, Bunny.
Dr. Dan Burchill
Dr. Dan Burchill joined the Grand Valley Animal Hospital team in 2014. He specializes in orthopedic and soft tissue procedures; using surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
With certification to perform Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) and a special interest in ultrasounds and other minimally invasive surgical techniques of joints, Dr. Dan’s orthopedic talents have been an invaluable addition. He has taken referral surgeries at GVAH, particularly those that involve soft tissue and other orthopedic procedures such as repairs or replacements in many different dog breeds, such as Chihuahuas, Newfoundlands, and Great Danes.
Dr. Burchill earned his doctoral degree from Iowa State University in 1994 and is licensed to practice veterinary medicine in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Montana. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association as well as the North Dakota Veterinary Medical Association. He is also the proud pet parent to Finnegan, a miniature Goldendoodle, and Stryker, a German Shorthaired Pointer.
Dr. Darin Meulebroeck
Dr. Darin Meulebroeck founded Grand Valley Animal Hospital in 2011 to deliver compassionate, science-based veterinary care to the Greater Grand Forks area. He is trained in science, medicine, surgery and nutrition, but works with everyone on a personal basis to find the best solution for each individual pet.
An enthusiastic advocate of continuing education, Dr. Darin has implemented training sessions for his team to keep up to date on the latest veterinary techniques and scientific studies. Through this learning process, he has incorporated new methods of safe, low-stress handling of animals in his practice to better serve his clients. Dr. Darin also works with veterinary interns from UND and aims to help others advance their learning in the field of veterinary medicine.
When not in the office, Dr. Darin coaches football with the Greater Grand Forks Youth Football League. He also enjoys fishing, gardening, and hockey with his wife and three sons. He has a dog named Molly.
He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and is a member of both the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Dakota Veterinary Medical Association. He is licensed to practice in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota and is the attending veterinarian for the University of North Dakota Center for Biomedical Research.
